All of my account settings (I looked on the app and the computer signed in), are set to show miles on my Fitbit; however, the info on the Fitbit Alta HR recently changed to kilometers for no reason that I can figure out. I synced it several times since this happened. The time and date on the watch are correct. Any ideas why something like this would happen and how to fix?

Hello all! I just reset my Fitbit, and it worked! My watch now shows miles, just like the settings say it should.

I’m having the same problem. Since the new update, which I hate, the watch and my iPad show kilometers instead of miles, although it is set for miles on the app. I have an old iPad that is about to die that I didn’t update. So I thought I would just go back to using it. Didn’t work.Since the update the distance on my Alta is registering in kilometers, so on my old iPad, it looks likes I’m really booking it.

I missed that connection because I had forgotten I did an app update recently. So, must be something Fitbit needs to fix... Maybe I can contact them somehow...

I’ve had the same problem with my Alta it’s not showing any of steps or my sleep. I’ve reached out To Customer Service four times and they were no help. I have tried everything.

I received a reply from them suggesting I try to restart my device see to if that fixes it. I need my charging cable to do that, which I do not have with me. I am planning to try that, as soon as I get home, and hope that will fix it!

I did not see the logo when I did mine, but I felt a slight vibration each time I pressed the button (I was holding the watch in my other hand). When it lit up again after the third press, I unplugged it, resynced it with the app again, and it now shows miles.

I’m thinking on removing this Alta one from my account and getting a new one and hopefully it will work

Maybe if you remove it from your account, and then just re-add the same one? I have used two different ones on my account. It was pretty easy to remove and add back in.
