with my old phone if someone rung me my fitbit would buzz to alert me - my new phone samsung galaxy it does not buzz and tend to miss calls - have reset and nothing works thanks

This sounds pretty weird, thanks for performing the restart. Please make sure that you're tracker is in the compatible devices list, then follow the instructions listed on this article.

You're welcome! Could you please tell me the exact model of your mobile device? In the meantime follow the troubleshoots listed on the My Fitbit device isn't receiving notifications from my phone.

everything working good - just not alerting me when phone is ringing - no big deal just hand for work as not allowed phone on in work.

Hi Mary,
I had the same issue but figured it out.
On your Samsung S7 Edge go to Settings > Connections > Bluetooth (Press) > Press Top Right 3 Dots > Bluetooth Device Control History > Fitbit > Scroll to Permissions > Enable SMS or All
And then in the Fitbit app ensure that you have your notifications set to display Txt or WhatsApp Messages etc.
