my alta Hr is recording my heart rate too high. both resting and during exercise. as a result the calories and active minutes are through the roof. i noticed one of the green lights was out as well. so my fitbit was a fancy stepcounter for about a week. Now is doesn't even turn on anymore.
I have tried the reset on the charger cable a few times, but that had no effect at all.
can this be fixed?

I have similar issue. First started 6/2 with Sleep Stages and heart rate. This week, 6/15 heart rate is way off. almost 300 active minutes with less than 2000 steps!. I do have both lights on, at this point.
I've chatted with Fitbit customer service reps, and so far, no solution. I'm pretty sure they did some kind of update that caused the problem, or maybe they aren't supporting the Alta HR anymore. I'm hopeful they will find a solution. I've tried all the fixes they recommended, which are many.
Good luck.

Yes! This is driving me crazy. It first started with no sleep information June 25, then it wouldn't read my heart rate at all yesterday. I got it to show a heart rate, but it thought my HR was around 199 all day yesterday. I had over 400 active minutes and 6,000 calories burned when I only had 10,000 steps.
I've reset the device multiple times, turned HR on and off; nothing helps. Both my lights are still on.
