2.57 is rubbish, how do I revert to 2.56

This version does not record runs correctly, pause does not work and I have to terminate Fitbit process before the record session will respond. It gets GPS tracks wildly wrong as well. 2.56 worked fine on Galaxy S7, I'd like to revert. How do I do that?

@Markd08, did you shut down your phone and restart it after you installed the new version 2.57 of the Android app?  I have been running v2.57 on both my HTC One M9 and ZTE K88 Tablet since it first appeared in the Google Play Store, and I have not experienced any of the problems you list.

Since the v.2.57.1 notification from the moderator is locked against comments and replies, I am posting this request here:

The release notes for v.2.57.1 state:

"VERSION 2.57.1

Released: September 14, 2017

We fixed some bugs and made stability improvements."

Can the moderators detail the exact bugs that were fixed or the stability improvements that were made?  I am assuming v.2.57 had a bug that neccessitates the release of v.2.57.1. Given the previous limited successful upgrade and update histories, Fitbit puts out more hidden problems compared to what is fixed. I want to make an informed decision whether to update if this corrects one of my current issues (random app logout, & lost dashboard tile configuration upon re-login), or stay on existing app version (until my fixes are released) to live with the known problems and not experience a whole new set of unknown inherited problems introduced by the correction. I also do not want to accumulate more bloatware than is necessary. The fitbit apps keeps growing in size un-neccessarily.

Yes, and I also uninstalled and reinstalled the app. Unfortunately the last
12 months Fitbit app has been really problematic in my experience. I don't
think there have been 30 consecutive days where the app has worked properly
to record runs. I know it's this app rather than phone since I've used
several phones and also ran another app in parallel with Fitbit to check
GPS accuracy and it's always recorded track flawlessly.

Problems have occurred with charge HR and now charge 2.
