Fitbit used to show steps now shows cal.. I want steps back. Obviously I done something playing around but dont know what or how to get back

I wonder if your fitbit has become disconnected from your account (you'll get some calories tracked without a tracked connected but no steps). On the main dashboard within the app does it show your tracker at the top left below your profile image?

 

If no, then select your profile image and then select "set up a device" to go through the setup process again which will reconnect your fitbit.
