I'm using the fitbit app version of 11 nov 2024, and now it seems that the activity tcx export is full of errors:
I've compared two exports of the same activity. The first export is from august 2024 and the second is from november 2024.
What I found is that:
1: <TotalTimeSeconds> shows incorrect value.
2: <DistanceMeters> shows incorrect value
3: <Calories> shows incorrect value
4: <AltitudeMeters> shows incorrect values, moreover, the value gets fixed after some trackpoints at a constant but wrong value throughout the rest of the activity.

Especially the AltitudeMeters error is very annoying.
It looks like the last app update introduced export engine errors (android fitbit app nov 2024).
I found that the iphone version of the app suffers from the same deficiency.
Mind you, the version i used back in august didn't have this error.

I've enclosed a diff proof below. The right pane is a recent export, the left is the export in august 2024. It's the same activity.
A solution would be greatly appreciated.
