I have often seen problems when I tap on the water bar on the Android app to see the current level and add a new amount by tapping the + in the top right corner. Very often the amount is added but the main display is not updated.
But it seems that if you tap on the + in the main app bar on the right side then you can add an amount and the main screen display is updated. So it looks like the two "+" add options are not functioning identically.

Hello @EdmundC
🤔 I’m wondering if this is just occurring on the Android version of the Fitbit App. I have mine running on an iOS version and it appears to be functioning normally.
Maybe other Android users will add to the conversation to see if there’s an apparent bug.

I've had a play with this.... using both methods of logging 'water' I've had instant updates, as well as experiencing delay in seeing the value update on the main 'today' summary. I also had a play with refreshing my online dashboard, which - when the today summary hadn't updated, but the underlying water log had - did also not present the updated value. Once the today value had eventually updated, I could also see the update on the dash. In the times where the today summary updated immediately on the app, It was also mirrored on my dash immediately.
Because of this my gut feel says it's not an app problem, and feels more like a slight lag/delay in the sync of the app data up to the fitbit servers.
It would be interesting to see if more comments are made about this
