Good to see you here in the Fitbit Community @MrRe, welcome aboard! I was reading your app is crashing constantly after the update, I'm wondering what version are you running right now?
We have started to roll out a new version of the Android app, so take a look to the Google Play store to see if the new version is available for you: Android app version 2.65.1 is now available - 1/25. If you already have this versions, proceed to try the following:
Log out from your Fitbit app and go to your phone settings. Access to the App manager option and look for the Fitbit app in your downloaded apps list. Once you are there, clear the app cache and data and proceed to "Force Stop" the app. Finish the workaround by restarting your phone. When your phone has initialized, go back to your app and try again.

Well, this version was the cause of the problem. Removing data and cache and waiting a few hours fixed My problems.
This version however syncs better today than the old One after some app configuration.
Not perfect yet but better than before.
