After the last update a few days back the app is a mess

After the last update a few days back the app is a mess, keeps crashing. Already tried to uninstall & reinstall it. Reset the fitbit. Disconnect the fitbit and re-connect. Nothing, still keeps crashing. And also suddenly the notifications of the fitbit-android phone isn't working anymore.

 

Are there more people who are having troubles after the last update?

Hi @Baboesingh  there is a new Android app version being rolled out to us. Version 3.7 started arriving yesterday, so it will get to all of us in turn. I'm waiting on mine to show up. That should take care of a few issues. Keep an eye out for that update. Hoping it solves the glitches for us! Information can be found in this post - click to read

@Baboesingh  I just received the update and it seems to have resolved the issues.  Please let us know if the issues continue after you receive the Android App update.

@Odyssey13 hmn ok, thanks for the heads up. Let's hope that will fix the problems with notifications... I am really regretting that I decided to update hahah because before the update the notification worked fine as did the app.. 

 

@cathm Which android device do you have?

Fitbit always has taken care of me, so I have no doubt they will take care of this glitch, too.

@cathm  No Haven't received the new update yet, still have the same issues with notifications. Hope it will be solved/updated within the next two weeks.

@cathm Got the update finally today... but unfortunately instead of fixing the troubles it got worse actually, my app keeps crashing 😞 trying to uninstall it, after that I'll try disconnect my watch and re-connect.. See if that will work.

I agree with you. Since the last update of the App my Sensa will not sync whatever I try. It has now become a largely useless device : a mere lapse counter when I swim and a step counter when I walk,abeit an expensive counter. It cannot even serve as a time watch : for some reason it is not showing the correct time anymore and the App seems to be needed to set it correctly. Very disapointing. I will not recommend this device to friends.

Have you also tried to sync it with a desktop device? If I want to change anything (setting alarm clock, time, etc..) I need a desktop now... 

My problems are now solely with the app, first I could sync and receive notifications after the second last update it could only sync. And now, with the last update I can't do anything in the app anymore.

Thanks Baboesingh. I had not thought of trying this. It worked and I could reset the time on the Watch and display my data on screen. It is not as convenient as using a portable tablet but it is a useful plan B...when I am at home of course.
