Hi,

After Android Fitbit application update that was installed yesterday my food sync and calories calculation stopped working. I tried the food from database and custom one I mostly use. At first I tried to logout and login again but no luck. Then I cleared application cache and data removed it and installed once again but still no luck. Any ideas how can I fix the issue? Did anyone expie

Hi,

The same for me. Food recorded in Android application shows only in the application on the device where it was recorded. Food recorded via web page counts and shows in applications on all devices.

Best Regards

Hi,

Exact same issue here and my mother's app

Same for me!
On iPad is working, on Android not anymore! Just after the upgrade v3.40.1.

Best Answer

Same here. This is ridiculous. I even tried to install a previous version of the app, but I couldn't.

Just fix it, for God's sake.

Best Answer

Same here. You would think they'd fix it...

I have the same problem since yesterday.

Logging food is not calculated in the budget and food from different periods are not added.

Also the food is not synced to the online dashboard.

Im using the Sense.

The Fitbit app version is: 3.40.1 (20243559)

I opened a ticket (#40314389) and tried to provide additional information over email and got an error message that the email adress is not taking messages right now....great support....and yes in the ticket it is specified that you should answer directly to the ticket email....its pretty annoying.

The Update also came with a Mobile tracker which got auto enabled for me. With a permanent symbol in the notification bar....can it get any more annyoing?

Hi, since March 30th, my Fitbit app (version 3.40.1) can not log any food properly (band: Fitbit Charge 3,  phone: Samsung Galaxy A40). I add the food, then tap on Save, it appears in daily list of food eaten, but the calorie income count is zero. So the comparison of daily calories eaten/burned is not possible. Later on, logged food disappeares even from the daily list of food eaten. Surprisingly logging food from the web dashboard works fine (but that is not what I want to use). Any help please? Thanks.

Same problem here since yesterday... And today all my registered food from yesterday is all gone, so according to the app I didn't eat anything yesterday...

Hello,

Since the march 30 software update food log is not complete. Logs do not show at the entry button. The food log register works correct. The chart does not register the entries.

I tried the delete and reinstall fitbit app solution. This didn’t solve the problem.

How to fix this?

thanks, Tremalzo

Hi,

I am facing the same problem and I have reported an issue to fitbit support, but as always it takes till they respond. (hopefully)

I can see the food logging working via browser, but not via the phone app. Adding it, shows it up in the list, but the calories are not counting up and it is not sent to fitbit.

I tried all, restart, uninstall, reboot phone, install, clean cache... Nothing helps.

I could see also that on the PC browser sleep, it is showing duplicate data for the 28th March, when the time change happened.

Maybe it has to do with this behaviour of duplicate time/values in the Database.

- BTW. I have updated my Android Fitbit app to Version 3.40.1 on 23rd March 2021 (was released on 16th March 2021 according to 'Google Play Store' ).

So I think, it has not to do with the APP, but with the APP hitting a Bug at time/date.

As we all face the same issue.

I am using a Nokia 6.1 with pure Android 10.

And btw., I am missing the Fitbit Sync Service since the last update. Was always available in the upper notificatio area.

- It is fixed in the previous Version. I have just downgraded to Fitbit 3.39.2 and it works in this Version!

I was only able to get the english App Version.

But I had to install the aptoid APP, it is a alternative to the Google Playstore.

https://fitbit.de.aptoide.com/app -- > This will install aptoide and then you can install Fitbit via it.

Then you search for Fitbit in Aptiode and on the right side of the install Button you can select "other Version" (small letters)

The app will ask to allow to write to the phone storage and then it will install the Version you select.

PS: Disable Auto update of the APP's , otherwise it will update your Fitbit again. (Was in my case.)
To disable auto APP updates in the 'Play Store'

In the Play Store

> Tap on the 3 lines top left

> Settings

> Automatic App-Updates

> Select the menu topic not to automatically update apps.

When will the known bugs in Android App version 3.40.1 released 16 March finally be solved? It mainly concerns calories-registration which doesn't count, but I've read other issues raised in Google Play Store reviews as well as in this Community.

# When is a new version launched with the required fixes?

This takes > 2 weeks already, that is too long @Fitbit - quite annoying!

Addition: All of a sudden today all my food entries from 31 March except lunches have disappeared. This is even worse than not counting :o( Strange since this was not the case yesterday and I did not proceed another update.

# Can I trust everything will return in my record properly?

Who can help me with the following?

I add all my callories and specify it as breakfast, lunch, diner etc.  But it seems like that the app only calculate the callories in the graffics that I reported for lunch. The day totals are calculated correctly, but the calculation if I under or over my callories are incorrect, because it looks only to my lunch callories.

Thanks for the official answer.

I got my ticket answered on Thursday that it was escalated but seeing that nothing changed until now is really annoying for such an integral function of the app.

I can understand the delay because of easter, but a way to at least roll back to the previous version would have been nice.

miro: solves the problem selflessly.

Fitbit: suggests keeping the Fitbit app's version up to date and does... nothing.

I really appreciate your help, miro! 👏🏻👏🏻
