Hi,

After Android Fitbit application update that was installed yesterday my food sync and calories calculation stopped working. I tried the food from database and custom one I mostly use. At first I tried to logout and login again but no luck. Then I cleared application cache and data removed it and installed once again but still no luck. Any ideas how can I fix the issue? Did anyone expie

PS: Disable Auto update of the APP's , otherwise it will update your Fitbit again. (Was in my case.)
To disable auto APP updates in the 'Play Store'

In the Play Store

> Tap on the 3 lines top left

> Settings

> Automatic App-Updates

> Select the menu topic not to automatically update apps.

Hi PoszA,

This is exactly what I experienced lately as well. See this post. Hope @Fitbit will release a new version resolving this issue soon but I'm not too confident as it is already pending for > 2 weeks.

I have the same issue. I log everything I eat but the total calories doesn't add up. Some things that I add doesn't add to the daily total calories.

There’ve removed the true “all day sync” functionality and changed to a forced occasional sync throughout the day, because Google apparently will be forcing an update that removes all but 1 week of your historical data, forcing you to upgrade to the Premium option to view it. Unfortunately, all day sync is required to use the Alexa feature without having the app literally open on your phone. If I need to go grab my phone, I’m going to just use the Alexa on my phone!

Since Alexa doesn’t work without an active sync connection, why not keep the occasional sync as the default but allow users to have s toggle for all day sync who want that feature and don’t mind a slight battery drain? You offer Alexa on the Versa 2 & 3, etc., but it doesn’t work unless you go get your phone and literally open the app. If I have to ho get my phone, why would I then use the watch and not Alexa on my phone, ir Google on my phone? Please add the all day sync option back in the app. There was no reason to take it away, as you can clearly adjust the “off” to maintain an occasional forced sync for updates. Thank you.

If anyone needs a temporary solution, you can download the previous version of Fitbit, it works fine for me now.

Hello! I have the sabe problem with the calories. Since March 30.. the app doesn't count the total calories in.

But how can I download the previous version?

I look in Google play and in fitbit app and also in my phone definitions and I didn't find how to return to previous version.

Thanks

Best Answer

It's not available through Google Play, so you will need to download it from a different source. I used "Aptoide" and downloaded version 3.39.2.

Make sure to disable automatic updates in Google Play after installing the older version!

Three days later... do you have found a solution?

Thank you for a reply. I urgently need to count my calories.

I also feel that fitbit not really works on a solution.

Can you tell me how to download a previous version?

Miro posted this in an other post. As a temporary solution it works fine for me.

Download the aptoide app from aptoide.com. Select the fitbit section. Select version 3.39.2

Hello. The application for Ionic on the phone does not register food correctly and does not synchronize with the one on the computer.

When will you decide to do a rollback and debug the 3 week issue in your lab and let the rest of the community work with a older version which had no errors (for me)?

Best Answer

Its been almost two weeks since the problem started for me. Support keeps telling me "they are working on it" but it still doesnt work.

If this problem is because of an update ROLL BACK THE FREAKING APP, but FIX IT ALREADY!

Food tracking is one of the only two things I use this app for, so right now Im seriously considering just investing on a new band and changing to another brand and app, cause its not freaking normal to leave users like this for this long.
