Alta HR not pairing to Samsung Galaxy S10

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

So I bought a new phone yesterday, the galaxy S10 and so far have been unable to pair the fitbit (I have an alta HR) to the phone. I've tried reinstalling the app, restarting the Fitbit, turning the bluetooth on and off again and clearing the cache on the app. Still no connection. I just keep getting a message saying "not working?" And then telling me to try again.

It's getting ridiculous now. Any ideas what else I could do or what's going on?

Hi @Sunny.babs. Welcome to the Community Forums.

Congrats on your new phone and thanks for the steps tried to get your Alta HR syncing. I understand your point of view as your tracker shouldn't have this type of difficulties. I've confirmed that your Samsung Galaxy S10 is part of our supported devices list and I'd recommend to give one more try to the following steps:

  1. Remove your Alta HR from the Bluetooth settings. If your old phone nearby, please remove your tracker from its Bluetooth settings and take it to another room.
  2. Turn off other Bluetooth connections that are nearby.
  3. Reboot your phone.
  4. Open the Fitbit app, tap on your profile picture > Set Up a Device.
  5. Choose the Alta HR and follow the onscreen instructions.

Let me know how it goes.

I had done this previously to no avail but I have since factory defaulted my phone and restarted the fitbit and they have connected. Many thanks.
