Alta HR not syncing with unsupported device

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My alta hr has not been able to sync properly since April.  Now the only information I am given is my phone is not compatible strange, it was compatible when I bought the alta at Christmas.  I'm feeling slightly ripped off here.

Welcome to the Forums @Carolcazza1970.

Thanks for sharing your issue with us.

It is important to note that no phones are ever removed from the supported devices list. In this case what might have happened is that a recent update could have cause optimization issues with your phone, since it is not on the list then it means that the app has not been fully tested and optimized to that device.

Having said that, it might have synced at the time because it fulfills the minimum requirements, Android 4.4 and Bluetooth 4.0. Phones that fulfill them have a possibility of working but we cannot guarantee that they will. Some users of phones that aren't on the list have mentioned that following these steps has helped them, perhaps you could give it a shot.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

Thank you for your reply, I have been through all the advice listed, nothing works. If i had known my phone would not be supported by fitbit i'l be honest i wouldn't have bought it. its virtually useless. Thanks anyway.

Hello @Carolcazza1970.

Thanks for letting me know that you went through the steps.

If you have a computer handy you could use that to sync your Alta HR. You can find the steps to sync with a computer in here. Hopefully you find that useful.

Feel free to let me know if you have any further questions.
