Alta doesn't work properly with new phone - Xiaomi Redmi 4X

Just got a new android phone - the Xiaomi Redmi 4X - only to find out the text and calendar notifications don't work with it. Presumably a software update needed here otherwise I've wasted £90 on the Alta as the text notification is the main reason I bought it! Fitbit - are you updating the software so that the Alta will actually work properly with this phone?

Posted this elsewhere but thought I'd put it here as well in case anyone else having the same problem. Bought a new Xiaomi Redmi 4X phone and wasted hours trying to work out why text and calendar notifications aren't working. Thought it must be that i had the wrong bluetooth or notification setting on my phone and it was just driving me mad. 

Anyway, it would seem that the Alta just doesn't work with this phone yet as Fitbit need to update the software each time a new phone comes out. Have I understood this right? Can Fitbit tell me when this will be done?

Just looking at list of compatible devices and it includes 'Xiaomi Redmi' and says call/text notifcations will work. Yet it doesn't work for the 'Xiaomi Redmi 4X'.

@AltaNotSync, the Xiaomi Redmi 4X does not appear to be on the Compatible Devices list, so it is possible that not all functions will work at this time. The Xiaomi Redmi, and the Xiaomi Redmi 2 appear on the list, but not the Xiaomi Redmi  4X.   As new devices are tested and added to the list, yours may be added.

Thank you Larry. Yes, hopefully Fitbit will add my phone soon. I miss the text notifications!
