Android 15 - Pixel 8 Pro stuck on "bluetooth pairing and linking"

I just updated my Pixel 8 Pro to Android 15 and now the Fitbit app says "to sync reliably let Fitbit link to your Charge 5" and then it gets stuck on the "bluetooth pairing and linking screen" - it says "this is taking longer than expected" and never connects.

I have reinstalled the Android app but it still doesn't work.

I am having the same problem since I updated to Android 15 on my Pixel 7a. I have an Inspire 3

I somehow fixed it and I'm not sure how.

I removed the device from the fitbit app but then it couldn't find it to re-connect.

I restarted the device itself.  Somewhere after that point it did reconnect but I don't remember what I did before

Mine has resolved itself too, without me doing anything, phew!
