Hello there @Randita, nice to see you have joined to our Fitbit Community! Certainly uninstalling and reinstalling the Fitbit app in order to sync daily has become a nuisance. I'm wondering if your phone is listed as Compatible? To see the latest list of supported devices, please go to http://www.fitbit.com/devices

With not compatible devices it might fail some features or functionality of the app, since the app is not optimized for the device in question. However, regardless if your phone is compatible or not. I would like to recommend the following post to troubleshoot syncing problems: Having trouble syncing? (here's how to fix this).

In addition, at the beginning of this week we have rolled out a new version for the Android app. So make sure to review if the new version is already available for you. For more details please review this post: Android app version 2.65 is now available - 1/22

See you later and hope this helps.

to Roberto Fitbit AND to all other developers....

You cannot hide behind that compatibility list.

Android is a standard frame and so is the bluetooth.

I've installed your app across devices with android versions that spans from 4 to 7 and it works fine.

You must give us some better tech explanations for this issue, stating that SO MANY people are having severe sync issues. (just to say 1: with Huawei devices it's a nightmare)

The set is OnePlus 5t.

Hello @c3kkos and @Randita, my apologies for the late response.

@c3kkos I appreciate your feedback and the fact you have shared your opinion. Note that our intention is just to provide the necessary information for the possible causes when a tracker is failing to connect with a device in question.

As you mentioned on your post, you have use the app across different versions of Android without trouble and exactly this is the reason we cannot guarantee the functionality of the app in phones that are not listed or tested yet to be compatible, since this not only depends on the Android OS.

There are phones that are easily prone to experience these malfunctions more than other devices. As you mentioned, Android is designed to work equally in many options. We have the case of phones, tablets even televisions now which as a developer, the range of devices provides a huge potential audience for the app. However In order for the app to be successful on all these devices, it should tolerate some feature variability and provide a flexible user interface that adapts to different brand configurations or layer modifications that can be include with recent model of mobile devices.

To give you an example and to include to the conversation @Randita, The OnePlus devices run Oxygen Os, which is a customized version of the Android operating system platforms, so in these instances is where the app may fail since is not optimized to run under these characteristics.

Rest assure we are working our best to offer a wide variety of options for the convenience of our users at the moment to sync your trackers.

@Randita Have you give it a try to the steps I suggested before. We have received reports that previous version were presenting issues to sync, which despite your phone is not listed as compatible might be affected. We have released fixes for this issue with our latest version: Android app version 2.66 is now available - 2/5.

If that does not work, I know is not the best solution but I suggest syncing using a computer as an alternative. As I mentioned before, our team is always working to test and add more Android devices to the supported devices list, so keep an eye open for updates!

See you around and thank you for all your feedback and comments.
