Android app no longer tracking steps

My app (v3.52) occasionally stops tracking steps. I'd notice 0 steps for several days, then it would start working again. It was almost like each reboot of my phone would toggle the count on, then off. In November it was every other week - 7000 daily steps, then 11 and 0, then back on again. No steps have been logged since 11/23 (5 weeks ago) even though the phone has been restarted multiple times. Is there app permission (Physical Activity Permisison="Allow") I have to change, or should I try uninstalling and reinstalling it? Google Fit is much more dependable. I also have a Wyze watch tracking steps via my wrist.

Hi @dtphoto - if your Steps are not updating occasionally it would seem the watch has stopped syncing with the phone. Often restarting the phone can cure this and allow it to sync but its not fixing the cause and it will happen again.
