Android app uses 500-900megs of RAM, what the heck?

I have a Versa, but before this I had a Charge 3 (exchanged because it never worked) and once a Charge 2 and Charge HR. All have had similar issues over 3 different phones. When I go into the app info for my Samsung S9+, it shows the memory of the fitbit app between 500-900megs. So nearly a gig of RAM, thats way too much. For comparison, my texting app uses 50megs, or 10x or 20x less. So why does Fitbits app use so much?

Also my friend also has a Versa and an android phone and seeing similar numbers. Not to mention this has been happening with 3 different phones of mine over the years.

Thanks

Hi,

I have only Versa and only for short time so my FitBit app uses only 250 MBytes of RAM, what makes it biggest user app on RAM usage so far.

Also I have noticed it is quite power hungry and come on the top of power usage app in battery info.

Thanks,
