I have just noticed that the APK has Version 2.66 at this link but not in the Google App Store.

Took me a week to get V2.65.1.......

Another 2 days on, and no sign of an announcement by Fitbit in the Android Forum..  I don't wan't to uninstall my current App because it causes me too many other issues.. I'm having no syncing issues or notification problems.. Just connecting to GPS is very spasmodic..

Here is an image.. and I notice the date has been changed to today,,, So we hope...

Update: I turned off the uncategorized notification channel for the Fitbit app and got the 2nd notification to go away. Both the issue and the fix are only available on Android 8.0 devices.

I updated to this version and now I have two persistent notifications. One is the new Fitbit syncing one (which seems to have helped a great deal in keeping the connection to my ionic alive) and the 2nd is due to the app having notifications access although I didn't have that showing up before. Anyone else seeing this behavior

@Ankit46  Thanks for responding with the screenshot.. I now understand why others are complaining.. I couldn't work it out from the varied posts. Maybe my phone is a clue for the moderators to examine. @AlessFitbit may pass this link onto engineering.

Sony Xperia XP Model F8131 (2016 Australia) Android 8.0.0 (Feb 2018)

I'm still coming to grips with the subtle changes on my phone because Sony Australia only released 8.0.0 last week.

I only see those notification  messages if I drag down from the top at the home screen. It's another example of the issues Fitbitters have with different brands of mobile phones.. I have no interference.

Also syncing.... I "feel" more improvement.. even before this update, V2.65.1 was syncing in multi-mode to my Fitbit One which was in our bedroom 40' (13m) away, Not line of site, and through 2 walls..  That has always happened.. The Ionic is not as flexible with distance and it made a liar of me today because my Bluetooth finder found it..
