I came to check if Fitbit might finally be compatible with LG and was pleased to see that, according to this page https://www.fitbit.com/us/technology/compatible-devices, Fitbit devices are compatible with Android 7.0 and up, other than a few phones. Yay! Except that it looks like from the forum posts, Fitbit isn't actually compatible after all, and their website is incorrect. I previously had a Fitbit that I had to get rid of after purchase because it wasn't compatible with my LG Stylo 3. Fitbit told me at the time that Android 7.0 was simply too new to support after being out a year, and too bad for me, not their problem. Now I have a Stylo 5 and was very slightly considering getting a Fitbit again. But if there's no way to know if it's compatible without spending a ton of money, then I don't want to take the risk and be out the money (again).
So is Fitbit compatible with Android or still just specific phones? Or are certain devices compatible with certain types of Android phones?

This is something a moderator posted: "Please note that your phone or tablet is not on our list of compatible devices. We confirmed that the devices on this list are fully compatible with all features of Fitbit devices and the Fitbit app. While a phone or tablet may not be verified as fully compatible, the Fitbit app may still work with your device.
We routinely test new devices to ensure full compatibility with Fitbit devices and the Fitbit app, and are constantly working to confirm compatibility with new phone models. Be sure to verify that your phone or tablet meets the minimum operating system requirements.
If your phone supports Bluetooth 4.0, we provide assistance and troubleshooting steps. Because your phone or tablet is not fully compatible with Fitbit devices, we can't guarantee syncing and other Fitbit features. "
