Is not in the play store (for UK user anyway) despite being advertised as such. When can I expect it to be available?
Thanks

That's weird... I'm in the UK and my Fitbit app updated itself to version 3.65 at around 1am on Thursday morning

this is what I see in play store. Unless there's some kind of android version filter in operation? I'm on version 11. Sony Xperia 1

I'm on a Samsung Galaxy S10... running Android Version 12...
Maybe your assumption is correct... could be some sort of filtering going on via Google Play as far as Android OS version is concerned

Annoying. Sleep for Android broke after the last release. 3.65 fixes it apparently

They have not provided an update for my operating system. This is total Bull**ahem**. I have been a Fitbit user since 2015.
.
I have Android 9.0. Does this mean that Fitbit is telling me that they no longer want me as their customer?

Hello….it’s my understanding that the Android Version 3.65 is released and some have already received it. (Reading here in the forums confirms that to me as well) It comes out in waves so if you don’t have it yet I’m sure it will pop up soon. It’s also being rolled out for iOS users. I received mine about 2 days ago.
It’s been announced here by a moderator: https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Android-App/Android-Fitbit-app-3-65-is-now-available-08-10-22/m-p/52...

the big problem is that update 3.65 is not compatible with Android 9. The update specifically states that it is for Android 10 and up.
I have been a Fitbit user of multiple Fitbit bands since 2015. But it appears that Fitbit has abandoned me and many others like me. I have Android 9.

Well to be fair that sounds like Google has abandoned you by not allowing your phone to be upgraded not fitbit.
Fitbit have/need/want to provide features & functionality that just can't be implemented on older versions of the O/S.
If your current version of the fitbit app works live with it or go but yourself a new phone, but this has nothing to do with my thread so I'd be grateful for you not highjacking it.

"release in waves" be nice if someone from fitbit could confirm that but I can't see why (or how) they'd do it. Surely fitbit would just dump the app into the play store and let Google deal with the distribution.
It's not like a firmware update where users are going to be hitting fitbit servers where they might want to control download g to prevent resource overloading.

I checked this with Fitbit and this is a mistake. The app is available for Android 8.0 or higher, there is an error on the website.

The Sense and Versa 3 will not sync with a Pixel 6 running the new Android 13 update without the update to 3.65, so all of my families Fitbits are unusable until Fitbit pushes this update. Can we please have this update pushed out widely now so we can continue to use out devices? With google owning Fitbit, one would think that this would be better coordinated.

Android 13 has been officially released and has broken syncing for the sense and versa 3 making them unusable. The few who have received Fitbit 3.65 say that it fixes the issue, but it's not available for my Pixel 6 making my Sense unusable. Some better coordination with the parent company Google is highly recommended here. Can we please get this update widely rolled out?

I had the same issue this morning after updating to the official release of Android 13 yesterday. I was able to get my Versa 3 to sync again by going into the app settings and revoking the Nearby Devices permission and having the app re-request that permission. Seems as though handling of bluetooth devices has been changed in 13. Seemsl like something Fitbit/Google should have anticipated with devices, but I hope this works for you.

My issue wasn't with syncing my sense, it was specific connectivity between Sleep for Android on my phone and the watch app.
I finally got 3.65 available and happy to confirm it fixed the issue.

Android is on Version 12 and is just coming out with 13 this week.
Android 9 came out in 2018. I don't think we can expect Fitbit to support ancient versions of Android...
Typically, to be stuck on 9, you must have purchased the phone years earlier, as the phone manufactures do provide software updates for a while... maybe not long enough, but 9? that's pretty old.
So if you are on old Android 9 or earlier, perhaps you should also be happy sticking with and old version of the Fitbit app. 3.63.1... ?
