Android set up

Hi 

Please can anyone help.

 

I have given my old HR charge to my friend to use as I have the blaze.

It was originally set up on my iphone and has been removed.

My friend has the Android Lumia 640 LTE, she has set her details in but it will not find the HRcharge (Bluetooth is on) It says to press the HRCharge for 3 seconds but this just sets the watch to start recording an excersie.

Any help would greatly be apprenticed.

Hello @Bronagh123, welcome aboard to the Fitbit Community! I had a similar issue when I was setting up my old Charge HR and indeed, it says to press the button; but what I did was just keep taping the tracker to keep the screen on instead of pushing the button and it works to finish the set up with my phone.

 

I'm wondering how since you posted? Is the issue still persisting? Perhaps the following direction might give you some additional aid:

 

  1. Turn your tracker off and back on using the instructions from this post.
  2. Try the setup process again.
  3. If you can't set up after a restart, reboot your mobile device (turn it off and then back on).
  4. Try setting up your tracker again.
  5. If you can't set up after the reboot, try uninstalling and reinstalling the Fitbit app.
