App crash on Samsung S8+

My fitbit app keeps crashing. Will get notifications on Samsung S8+ that the app has an unexpected error. When it does this it wont sync to my Versa 2. 

 

It did this a few months ago with my charge 2, & I thought the device was dying so I got the versa 2. Now I know it is the app. 

 

Anyone else with similar problems? I have uninstalled the app & re-installed many times.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention and the details that were shared in your post. To better assist you with this, can you please let me know when was the first time you experienced this inconvenience and how many times since then? Which error do you receive? If possible, please send me a screenshot of it. Also and if you haven't already done so, please try the following steps:

 

  1. Force quit the Fitbit app.
  2. Uninstall the app from your mobile device.
  3. Make sure that the Android version is up to date.
  4. Reboot your mobile device.
  5. Reinstall the Fitbit app.
  6. Login using your account credentials.
