The data on my watch is significantly different from what I see in the Fitbit App eg Steps Watch today = 1127, Steps App today = 1911
Additionally, when I try to access the Fitbit Today on the App by opening from the Watch, it still shows wrong data. eg. Screenshots below. 0/5 Workout days on Watch, even when open the app. When I access the app directly, it shows 4 Workout days.
Data sources:
- Strava - synced w Google Fit
- Form Goggles - Goes to Strava
- Omron - Goes to Google Fit (not consistently working)
- Sleep Cycle - Posts to Google Fit (Health Connect has Fit as a source)
- Peloton - posts to Strava
- All trails - Goes to Health Connect
- Fit to Fitbit, Fitbit to watch (right now, stats are off)

Hello @WellsyD
Are you using the Pixel Watch 3?
There is a known issue on the Fitbit side that is affecting data syncing, including completed exercises. The team is aware of the issue and has been working on a fix.
Have you had a chance to update the Fitbit app on your phone yet? The current Android version is 4.26.1. From what I've read, this update is supposed to resolved the syncing issue. That said, I've seen other Pixel Watch users report that they still have the syncing issue even after updating to ver 4.26.1.

Thanks @RiekoC
Yes, I'm using a Pixel Watch 3 and it's updated to 4.26.1. I'm assuming the watch is supposed to match what you can see in the phone app, correct? Syncing is supposed to be bidirectional?
I'm ok with a difference of a few hundred steps but missing activity seems odd.

Hello @WellsyD
Thanks for confirming you're using the Pixel Watch 3 and have the current Fitbit app version, 4.26.1.
From what I've seen, the 4.26.1 update was supposed to fix the syncing issue between the Pixel Watch and Fitbit. There was a different issue affecting syncing between the Fitbit app and 3rd party apps that was resolved, but I still see reports of issues with 3rd party app syncing. Other Pixel Watch users are reporting the same issues as you're experiencing. I know both the Pixel Watch and Fitbit teams are aware of the issues and have been working on fixes.
You are correct that you should see the same information on the watch and the Fitbit app. I think syncing is bidirectional for certain features that are calculated by the Fitbit algorithms then displayed in Fitbit Today, like cardio load, readiness score, SpO2, and body temp variation.
Although you're not seeing activity tracking on the watch & in certain app sections, I've seen Fitbit users report that their weekly reports show their steps & exercises. That indicates to me that the data is getting uploaded to users' accounts on the Fitbit servers, but there's still problems keeping the data from properly showing up on the devices and app.
I see that you're using Google Fit. In case you didn't know, Google deprecated Google Fit support in late 2022 and will be discontinuing Google Fit entirely at the end of 2024, to be replaced by Health Connect.

As frustrating as that is (I'd rather it worked now!), I guess it makes sense. If you have Fitbit, you certainly don't need Google Fit, and while Health Connect is not functional now, I'm sure by June 2025 it will be... 🤞
