App does not show all past workouts

The Fitbit app is randomly deleting workouts that I've tracked on my Charge 4. I workout everyday most weeks so, it's very easy for me to see when 1 is missing.  Anyone else seeing this problem or know how to correct? Please don't suggest that I manually input a missing workout. There's no way for me to remember the data I've lost since I do many different things.

Thank you for visiting the Fitbit Community, @Shdz69.

Thanks for the information provided.

I would recommend restarting your Fitbit Charge 4 by following these instructions.

In addition, you can set up your Tracker as a replacement device:

  1. Tap the Today tab EdsonFitbit_0-1631749903855.png, and tap your profile picture.
  2. Tap Set Up a Device.
  3. Choose your device and follow the on-screen instructions to continue.

Whether you continue having the same problem, please check if your workouts are shown on the online Dashboard here.

If you have any question, please let us know.

Hey Edson,

I think you may have misunderstood Shdz69.

The problem is that exercises, which were previously shown in the app after successfully syncing, disappear at a later time. They will still show on the dashboard using a laptop; the app on the phone will also still give the correct number on the weekly header (say '5 out of 5 days', if 5 is the user's set goal) - but then list only 2 or 3 days for that week instead of 5.

It seems many users have been reporting this very same problem many times.

Fitbit moderartors have suggested a 'workaround' - scrolling down a month or two, then scrolling back up. I have tried this many times - this may add a few of the missing days back in, but it always misses other days. So that workaround is not working.

Please could you follow up internally with product experts and post a working solution soonest?

Hello everyone!

@Stephaniebiondi Welcome to the forums! I will gladly help you regarding the exercise data shown on the Fitbit app.

@ASA73 Thanks for the reply and update. @Shdz69 Thank you for your feedback.

I have also experienced this myself. First, make sure that the Fitbit app is up to date. What I do is the following. I first try logging out and back into my account. That loads all of my account 's information on the app again. The exercise logs are actually not deleted, these are still shown on the Fitbit.com dashboard. So that means that the Fitbit app always goes and retrieves the past exercise data from the server. Only the last couple of days are stored on the Fitbit app for some reason. You can also try deleting and reinstalling the Fitbit app.

Have a nice day!

@RodrigoMFitbit , unfortunately, logging out and back in does not fix the problem for me.  So Customer Support had me log out, force stop, uninstall, reboot, reinstall, log back in, and even enter user-entered exercises.  None of that worked.  But now, I have no data at all.  It is all gone from the Android App.  You are correct that it is on the Fitbit dashboard, so the data is there.  The issue is either (A) Fitbit isn't sending data correctly to the App or (B) the App is broken.

People wear a Fitbit for one main reason: to track their fitness.  The app is broken on tracking fitness.  Not a good sign for a company when it can't do the one main thing that it is supposed to do.

I am noticing this same issue. I run my week Mon to Sun. Yesterday after my workout I checked my weekly stats and it said 8.5 hours for the week.  Now today it says 7.5 hours and one of my workouts is gone. I noticed this the last few weeks but thought I may be misunderstood but now I know this is what is happening.

Like the last person said....we use this product to accurately track our workouts. Not good when product is faulty.
