I have GPS switched on, on the Charge 3 and my phone has location enabled but I never see distances for outdoor bike rides inside the app. Any idea if that's possible to fix ?

@Ajai Welcome to the Fitbit Community! It's great to have you here!

I will gladly assist you recording your distance with GPS data from your phone. This is called the Connected GPS feature. Once you start recording the activity with your Charge 3 you will need to ensure the Fitbit app is running and connected with your tracker so it will add the GPS data from your phone. You can check this article to learn how the feature works.

Let me know how it goes.

As far as I can tell, I have everything switched on, both on the Charge 3 and my phone. Though Im not sure how one might:

  1. Make sure GPS can continue to track your location while your phone is locked.

I have bike riding apps that don't have a problem tracking my distance while the screen is locked and the phone is in my pocket.

I should also add, that I don't 'add' the exercise manually - the Charge 3 simply autodetects that Im cycling and adds it to the list of the days exercises. Maybe that's the problem ?
