App down for maintenance

When I try to log in, it claims I have the wrong email and or password. If you press join it says down for maintenance. This only started to happen once I arrived in Brazil, yet, it worked for a long time here and I could log in and sync just fine. Sometimes when I clear the cache, force close etc, it may work (not always) but instead of seeing how many steps I made on the home menu, it's just loading. It may take a week or so before it starts working for a few days before it's back from it's claimed maintenance time, completely fine. I see people complaining about this years ago but this is only starting to happen over the last while possibly last update. I am using a Huawei P10, Android Pie.

And just so it's clear, yes, Date and time are set automatic,  Wifi works fine, I tried uninstalling, I restarted once and it worked another time it didn't even after doing everything. Is anyone else experiencing this problem? It's extremely frustrating.

Hi @CianThompson, welcome to the Community Forums!

I appreciate all the information and details that were shared in your post, thanks for troubleshooting this situation prior to posting too, totally understand how frustrating this matter can be for you. Let me share with you that we're aware of this situation, beginning around 12 PM Pacific time that's causing some users to be unable to update or load data in the Fitbit app, in some instances, unexpectedly logged out and experience delays logging in. That being said, please try again later and let me know if the issue persists.

Let me know if you have any additional questions.
