App issues among other things.

List of issues I need help with.

1. After app was updated it want from being useful with a few minor bugs to not beinf useful at all. On the login for the app after entering the username and password you get a white box that used to say logging in with a spinning wheel. Now its just a spinning wheel and freezes up a few times before going into the app.

2. Once the app comes up it freezes for up to a minute. Then starts to work. Clicking sync would usually show a wheel spinning and say syncing now no wheel. And more often the. Not no icon showing its connected to my tracker.

3. Syncing will error out some times but the app never really gives an actual error messages.

4. Syncing has caused my tracker to become unstable. It didn't update the firmware. But just made my tracker not respond to touch anymore. Took me more than an hour of messing with it to get the tracker to reboot and I haven't synced since. I tried syncing today but I was real hesitant luckily today's sync worked.

5. I hear the new firmware has bugs for the blaze. So its a good thing I wasn't part of the initial upgrade.

Overall its come to the point where I took off the tracker and stopped using my Fitbit all together. Too many problems and bugs.

Laatly, on a side note its disappointing that the gun metal black band is not sepratly sold. I was ready to buy it then became disappointed.

Lately, Fitbit hasn't been living up to their standards. And its really been making me consider another tracker.

I want to believe in Fitbit . but the company lately has seem to have more bad than good things on their side.

Hopefully I can get help with the above.

@SunsetRunner for your points 1,2,3 if you haven't done so, as suggested restart your phone.

Better yet remove the fitbit app, install fresh, restart phoone.

For point 4 the app should not be able to affect the blaze and stability.. Have you restarted the Blaze by pressing both the lower right and left buttons?

Do you have the option to update the firmware?

For point 5 i have no problems, the problems occured because of two reasons.

The firmware accidently got released to everyone and the clock faces being installed slurring the update.

a for sync problems, yes sometimes it is slow i rely need to remove a few of the 5 tracker a connected, but i do find it syncs even when the app says it hasnt.. This can be confirmed by the notice i just passed user XYZ or going to the web based dashboard.

Rich,

I got a new s7 edge phone and the problems were fixed. I think the app has issues with the LG g5 phones.

On a fresh install I still do see minor issues. Like the login screen etc. Seems to really be a software related issue if it happens even on a brand new device.

I didn't know pressing those buttons would reset the blaze. I had to fight the touch screen till I was able to click shut down. Upon restart my blaze seems to be working normally.

And the firmware isn't available for me for some reason. The app usually indicates when there is an update. But for me I have still to get it.

Syncing has always been weird. Many times it doesn't catch my sleep log. Many times the heart rate chart is spotty. Never records consistantly. The heart rate part of the app sometimes I have to click it 8 times before it brings up the information.

Overall it's been a frustrating experience. I wish I could get fitbit attention on this post.

@SunsetRunner is the KG a verified supported device

As for sleep, the app or the tracker does not detect this, the server does. I find i can sometimes speed things up by going to the sleep history screen.. I find the sleep shows here while it doesn't on the dashboard, which sometimes takes up to an hour or two.

The reason the firmware isn't availible is because it is a rolling release, not everybody has the option yet, more get added daily.

As for getting Fitbits attention, or anybodies it's just a case of flagging a fitbit employee

This is all explained in the Fitbit Community Basics discussion, a place every user should scroll threw.
