App UI bugs when entering activity, asks for Exercise Type that is already selected
For the last couple of months, I've been having trouble logging activity. I think I've managed to do this (a while ago) without the error(s) below happening, but the results below have happened consistently the last 10-ish times.
Steps:
1. start fitbit app on Android phone (phone and app both fully updated)
2. click + to add an activity
3. finger-press on Exercise Type, then on Weights from the drop down (note, no typing)
4. enter start time and duration using the UI
5. click LOG IT button
RESULT: app message "please enter an Exercise Type"
BUG 1: at this point, Exercise Type is visibly set to Weights. There's an issue with data validation.
6. click on Exercise Type, and select Weights again.
RESULT: start time and duration get reset.
BUG 2: don't lose user input!
7. sometimes this fails AGAIN, forcing yet another redo.
NOTE: I notice that after the first failure (at step 6) the Exercise Type dropdown (sometimes?) contains "Weights" and "Weightlifting". This is strange because during the initial entry, it only contained Weights. I mention this because the only other activity I manually log is Yoga, and I haven't had any issue with that.
Moderator edit: Subject for clarity.

@SumitC Welcome to the forums.
Thanks for the detailed report and the steps you take to reproduce this. I have gone through the same steps right now and was able to log both activities (Weights, Weight lifting) without any prompt to select the exercise type. Would you be so kind to let me know which smartphone do you have? Could you also share with me the Fitbit app version you have installed? This you find on the Fitbit app. Open the app and tap on your profile picture > "Help and Support". At the top you will find details about the app. Version is there as well.
Please try clearing the cache storage and try it again. Let me know if that helps. Have a nice day!

Hi Rodrigo, thanks for your reply. I'm using a Pixel 3a, and the app version is 3.70 (37020001).
