Hi everyone – we recently removed older versions of the Fitbit app from the Google Play store. Anyone with a phone using Android OS below our minimum requirement may be affected by this change.
If your phone uses Android OS below our minimum requirement, you can continue to use the Fitbit app as normal, however if you remove the Fitbit app from your device you won’t be able to reinstall it. Instead, you will need to update your phone’s OS to the most recent version, then download the Fitbit app. For more information about OS requirements, see https://www.fitbit.com/devices.

Nope, I often use 1 of two sites and never gave a card.
@Giampi71 there has never been a kindle version listed on Fitbit.com/setup, moderators have always mentioned that the Kindle is not supported. The kindle version is a version released by Fitbit, for the Android OS, back in 2016. Obviously not supported by fitbit. We know who wrote the version, but do we know who released the version on kindle. Do we know why it was released on kindle?
@Lisamariemd Kindle was brought up by @lizhobb55
You mean that it is up to fitbit to continue to support an old insecure version of an OS that even android doesn't support anymore.

I've solved the problem completely: I bought a new phone. Samsung Galaxy A52 Android 11. Now my Charge HR syncs fine. No more headaches.
(And I can use the COVID-19 tracer app)
Sometimes you just have to bite the bullet.

No, that is not the answer. I don't bite bullets. I just do 2 hours of
cardio every day that I need to track.
