Basic phone disconnection warning and phone media control functions

I'm very close to my 30 days before I have to give up and take my Versa back to the retailer for a refund.  I like some of the features, the screen is clear, and the fitness app great for my cycling.

Two vital things that are missing for mine (that I got with my very first Pebble) is the option to control my podcasts on my phone, not the watch, but most importantly of all, strong vibrations when the phone becomes disconnected.  This feature was a life-safer with both my Pebbles (original and Steel) and later my Vivofit HR.  Even though it was designed as a fitness tracker, the HR gave more control over my phone than the Versa.  If I left the phone inside the house when I left for work, or on a couple of occasions when my phone, in  a protective case thank goodness, came loose from the bracket on my bike, the vibrations where insistent, and immediately you released what was wrong even before reading the "disconnected" message.

These should be absolute basics on all Fitbits.  Is any work being done at all to either build these options into the firmware, or at the very least, as apps??  I don't want deezer, I want media/podcast app control for apps on my phone such as "podcast addict" or at the very least, some control over my Spotify account on my phone.  And I definitely what the watch to tell this silly old bugger when he's left his phone somewhere.

I'd be amazed if I was alone in these sort of requests

Yes, you're on the right track! Here are the Fitbit instructions for it. I followed them and they worked perfectly.

Hi, @WillowOz! I don't have an answer for you on your latter request, but Versa, Ionic, and Blaze all can control media on your phone. If you go into the media control on your Versa, click the ... icon, and select the source as your phone rather than your watch.

Thanks MakMak.  I did try that, but it the watch returns a message "Pair your phone with Bluetooth Classic in settings" which I'm guessing is phone settings, but I can't see any Bluetooth Classic there.

If am eventually successfully, are you saying I'll be able to play my podcast app and spotify via the watch?  If so, happy days but it has not been easy!

Thanks again, got it although it is a bit clunky.  Hopefully they might consider how to keep your phone as the default music source rather than going through setup everytime. Iappreciate the help! :musical_notes:
