When you pull down from the top of the screen to force a manual sync in the app, it shows the battery percentage left on the tracker on the right side of the bar. This percentage is no longer updating. For instance; when I manually sync my Sense the app shows 93% battery left, however, when I swipe right on the Sense the battery percent is actually only 86%.
I am using a Samsung Note 20 ultra on Android 11. Fitbit app version is 3.43.1. Sense firmware is 44.128.5.38. I also use 2 factor authentication.
I have tried the following troubleshooting steps in order:
Logout of app, close app, force stop app, clear cache, restart phone, restart sense, reopen app, log back in, manually force sync.
After performing the above steps the battery percent in the app will start updating again; but this only works for a short time. Perhaps after 1 or 2 syncs the battery percent in the app stops working again.
Any information or additional troubleshooting you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

This percentage will not be correct until after a sync, which is a two step process.
First the data gets sent to the cloud, then the app reads rye data from the cloud.

I’m having this problem now too. The battery percentage in the app is broken. I’m using a Versa 3 with an iPhone 12 mini. Everything is current and up to date. This problem started after the last Fitbit update.
I’ve tried the usual fixes: restarting both the app and the phone, logging out and then restarting everything again, and of course syncing. The only thing that works is if I hard quit the app by closing it on the phone, and then opening it again. Then it displays correctly during syncing, but only until battery percentage changes, at which point the app is again wrong. Alternatively, I can swipe to the left on the Versa 3 to see battery percentage there, on the watch.
This seems to be a bug introduced during the last update.

I’m having same problem. I have Versa 3 & IPhone 13. After charging my watch says 100% but app says 44%. Both phone & app are up to date.

This may be a problem in the latest Fitbit App [not the watch], and may be resolved by logging out and back in again and syncing?

No. I did log out and then back in and synced and the problem persists.

The battery % not updating in the Fitbit App seems to be an iOS bug. Hopefully fixed in the next release.

I don’t know if anyone has informed Apple. I’m sure not all users here are Apple users (?).

I have to open and close the iOS Fitbit phone app.
and then it updates the Sense battery life when I reopen the Fitbit app.

ride525: Yes, that works. But, the app used to display the correct battery life just by syncing in the past. Something is broken.

Hello everybody. Please excuse the delayed response.
@rbittman @Lueds55 @Dredbros Nice to have you here in the forums again. @ride525 Welcome to the forums! Thanks for the tip. That is actually the current workaround. That has to be done after every sync in order to be updated. This affects iOS users only. However, this has already been reported. Fitbit is working on a solution. Hopefully this will be corrected with the next update. I appreciate your patience.
Have a nice day!

Hi Rodrigo,
Thank you for replying. It’s good to know this only affects IOS users and that it’s being addressed in future updates. Thank you!
