Blaze and phone's GPS not being accurate

When I go for a walk my tracker is rubbish.  The view on the map shows nowhere near the walk I've done. It starts and finishes more or less correct but according the my map I've climbed over house's and through gardens. And it always says I've ran even though it's set to walk.

Welcome to the Forums @Uel.

I'd like to take a closer look at what is going on with the GPS data.

It is important to keep in mind that the GPS data is taken straight from the phone. As such, it could be that the GPS data is experiencing some sort of interference, be it because of it being a cloudy day or there being a lot of trees, which leads the tracking to be inaccurate. When did this start happening?

Look forward to your reply.

This started about 4 weeks ago. I assume its not the phone's gps as the Samsung health app automatically tracks my route and it's spot on every time . 3.1 miles. Fitbit 1.8 and 1.9 . When I view the map from the route I have just covered I can clearly see where fitbit has cut massive parts out

Hello @Uel.

Thanks for sharing those details.

In this case I'd like to ask some questions:

  • What phone is it that you are using?
  • Have you experienced any syncing issues?

In the meantime I'd recommend that you try to follow the steps listed in this help article

Look forward to your reply.

So this is a 3 mile walk and not a run as shown on the bottom left corner.  And I certainly didn't go straight out and straight back again.  Starting to get sick of this rubbish.  It's not as if Fitbit are cheapScreenshot_20190215-192656_Fitbit.jpg
