Hi all,
Having issues with Android app (2.71) on LG G5 (Android 7.0, NRD90U, 1 March 2018 patch level).. if All Day Sync is turned on the app crashes and Android says you're trying to run too many jobs ("java.lang.IllegalStateException: Apps may not schedule more than 100 distinct jobs"). Started as soon as I updated to fitbit 2.71.
I clicked "Send Feedback" and sent it so fitbit staff should be able to access this from Google Play Console.
I also got the crash when trying to do the firmware update for fitbit Versa. I installed fitbit on my NVidia Shield (also Android 7.0) and performed sync and firmware update fine.. so it's definitely a certain version of LG Android / Android (where the manufacturer has set a max job limit) thing.. Have sent the reports via Google (so again should be in your Google Play Console)... does anyone want me to do anything more?
Google says it might be a setting introduced in Android 7 (https://stackoverflow.com/questions/46161930/scheduled-job-executes-multiple-time-in-evernote-androi... and https://android.googlesource.com/platform/frameworks/base/+/2f36fd6) and "com.evernote.android.job.v21.a.a" (line 198 in the source file) appears in the fitbit stack trace too (I don't have evernote installed but it sounds like they provide an open-source code library for developers to use which fitbit must be using). The error itself comes from Android : https://android.googlesource.com/platform/frameworks/base/+/master/services/core/java/com/android/se... (see line 684).
100% reproducible (just need to turn on All Day Sync while bluetooth is still on). Happy to help however I can.
Kind Regards,
Matthew

Hello there @Matthew1471, thank you for visiting the Fitbit Community and for letting us know the app is crashing after update 2.71. Rest assure our team has identify this issue already and is working to find a solution in the future.
In the meantime, I would like to confirm how often the app is crashing? Is this limited only to All-Day Sync as you mentioned or is occurring with other tasks inside the Fitbit app?
Perhaps resetting the Fitbit app itself will give you some extra help in the meantime: log out from your Fitbit app and go to your phone settings. Access to the App manager option and look for the Fitbit app in your downloaded apps list. Once you are there, clear the app cache and data and proceed to "Force Stop" the app. Finish the workaround by restarting your phone. When your phone has initialized, go back to your app and try again.
See you around and don't forget to stay tuned for future updates.

Thanks Roberto, apologies for the delay.
Crash occurred as soon as all day sync was activated. Have spoke to fitbit devs, appears linked to the fact I am a fitbit OS dev and some of the behind the scenes jobs were being created and not cleared down. The all day sync tries to add an additional job but issue was caused by left over processes when dev mode is activated. I also had issues clicking to do a firmware update.
Have updated to the new version that was released 22 minutes ago, had the same issue. Uninstalled and reinstalled the application which has allowed All-Day Sync to be toggled. Will let you know if it starts back up again.
