Bug in sleep editing

Besides the problem I have with my pixel watch determining the correct bedtime, I cannot correct it.

I go to sleep at 1030pm, wake up at 630am. The watch reports sleep from 2am to 630am. This happens 75% of the time as of two weeks ago.

When I try to edit sleep time, it throws me an error. "Can't save sleep session. A sleep has already been logged in this time period." I made sure times, dates and pm, am are correct. When I choose 12am and current day it logs fine. Very frustrating!

Btw. My Venu 3 logs bedtime and wakeup time perfectly fine, during the same nights.

At least let me correct the time. Must be a bug.

Hello @DerAusgewandert

I've experienced the same when trying to edit my sleep log, where it won't let me change the start time because the app says there's already a log. It finally dawned on me to check the sleep page for the previous day. There I found a short sleep log that started in the evening. Once I deleted that log, I was able to edit my sleep log with the correct start time and was able to save it.

Check the your sleep log/page for the previous day and see if you also have a short sleep log that started in the evening. If there's one there, delete it and you should be able to go back to the current sleep log and edit it now.

well dang, that's exactly the case for the last 4 nights. How could I have missed that? Why in the world is it recording this as 1-2 hour additional sleep each night without logs? Some nights it actually reported two additional short sleep incidences. Still very frustrating of course. It only started doing this recently.
At least I can edit it now. Thank you!

I've already fiddled with sleep setting sensitive/normal but it doesn't seem to help.

Hello @DerAusgewandert

You're very welcome.

I have to admit that it was only recently (last month or so) that I thought to check the previous day's sleep page to see if there was a log for the evening. And I've been using Pixel watches since the launch of the Pixel Watch 2, so well over a year.

I've noticed that the app will sometimes show my sleep session starting at a later time when I've gotten up to use the bathroom or go to the kitchen for a drink of water, even though I've been up for less than 5 minutes. At least now, I know to look at the previous day's sleep page if I get the message that there's already a sleep log recorded when I try to edit the start time.
