Bug report: "FAKE AWAKE" ends up in wrong sleep duration calculataion

Bug report: Awake sleep stage overlap with other sleep stages. If everyone checks their sleep timeline, there are lot of false awake periods detected which overlaps with the real sleep stages (light/REM/deep). This totally ends up in wrong calculation of total sleep duration each day.

THIS IS THE BUG WHICH MUST BE FIXED. IF NOT, IT SPOILS THE WHOLE PURPOSE OF THE DEVICE.

In the sleep timeline below, the dotted lines are the real transition between sleep stages. When I select such areas manually and calculate the awake time to be 38 mins. But, this shows 1:30 which is completely wrong. The awake stage overlap with other real sleep stages (light/REM/deep) and so the real sleeping times are ignored and so we get the entirely wrong/lesser sleep duration output for each day.

This creates error in the complete sleep duration of day. Which affects the average of the whole week, month and so on.

Does everyone face the same error?

Fitbit is now a cheap watch. They should not even sell it. Google has has broken it completely. Just waiting for my new Withings to arrive before I toss this piece of junk.

So sorry to see this. You really should send this directly to their customer service and walk them through it. If you haven't been following SO MANY things don't work in the sleep module now. Over a thousand complaints. The moderators only reply to advise that they've deleted one of your posts. No help whatsoever. One of the issues is that they must have changed the algorhythms for sleep stage detection, because many of us have complained of its inaccuracies since they did us a favor with a new update and all went into the toilet.

Almost everyone has expressed discuss over the situation and how it's unreadable, not understandable and many are specific about their issues.

Maybe they have an explanation for you. Perhaps your stages don't overlap but the visual presentation is so messy that it's impossible to interpret? Give them a try because I suspect forum folks would not be able to advise/fix.

Good luck. Sleep well.
