Android FitBit App v.2.79 BETA (updated on 9/11).

FitBit App Forces Close consistently anytime the Exercise Tile is accessed.

How can I revert to a stable release and get off Beta channel?

Having the same problem. Update was pushed to my phone yesterday. I did not sign up as a beta tester. Is there a way to revert back to prior release?

Summary of FitBit support:

  1. Beta may have issues.
  2. Uninstall Beta.
  3. Reinstall Beta. (Done. Returned to step 1.)
  4. No info how to be removed from Beta.

The @FitbitSupport Twitter account has provided the following suggestion if you no longer want to be on the Beta channel for the Fitbit app.

Apologies for the confusion. Moving forward, we suggest trying the following tips to revert to the non-beta version of the Fitbit app:

1. Visit this page: groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/

2. Click drop down on right and select 'leave this group'

3. From Google Play Store, uninstall Fitbit Beta app.

4. Wait for at least 30 minutes then download the Fitbit app again from Google Play Store. It shouldn't show up as beta. If it still does, please wait until it doesn't show up as the beta app.

I tried this method and it did not work. I removed myself from the beta group, then uninstalled FitBit app on both my devices, waited 30+ minutes, and then reinstalled from Google Play Store. Samsung tablet works fine. Pixel phone does not. Tapping on the exercise tile causes the app to crash. Can enter food, water, weight, but not activites.

Any other suggestions? Version downloaded from Play Store still shows Beta.
