@ACBlue   I moved your post to the Android app forum, a better fit for this issue.  You wrote that you use an Android phone in a previous post.

Hi, @ACBlue , welcome. I seem to be having the same experience as you. Let me explain. I apologise for the length of my message, but it is essential to verify the details before escalating what appears to be a bug.

My starting point is a bit confused, as I've just installed a new Pixel Watch 4 and I thought it might be the cause of this issue.

Background: I swim for two hours every morning (3,750 metres) and usually burn around 750 calories. I've seen a problem in the last two days (since I installed my new PW4). I've conducted a complete Delete/re-install, including clearing caches, force-stopping the apps, deleting the apps, restarting my Pixel 10 Pro phone and factory resetting the PW4. Reloading the PW app, Fitbit app, and Myfitnesspal app and pairing them up. Under normal circumstances, I consider this process a complete reset. Interestingly, the missing calorie out bars populated on Monday & Tuesday, but not today.

Screenshot_20251015-180616.png

You will see the missing grey (cal out) vertical bar missing from today (Wednesday) and note the math of the 2950 over budget.

Screenshot_20251015-180739.png

At the same time, the "Today" screen shows I'm within budget of 2761 calories, which can only be achieved by adding my swim to the BMR. I would expect to have a budget of about 3,000 calories per day.

My swim stats populated the Fitbit app, AZM, HR, Cardio load, exercise days & energy burned graphs. They just did not register in the Calories Out.

Screenshot_20251015-183108.png

For context, I'm running Fitbit v 4.53.1 (1103820364) Android 16 update 5th October on my phone, Google Play system update 1st Sept 2025. I have Wear OS6 updated & security patch 5th September on my watch.

My Questions for you are these. Are you seeing the same discrepancies on the Fitbit "Today", Food & Exercise screens? Please also let us know the software versions you have on the Fitbit app, your Charge 6 & the play system.

If I'm to escalate this "Bug", these details will help.

Apologies for the length of this.

Cheers

Thanks for your email, it covers a lot and some of this is just what I have
had. I ended up (for a 2nd time) uninstalling everything, reinstalled
everything and went through the whole start up process as if new. This
thank god has worked.

Many thanks.

Hi, yes, this is similar to my issue, but I've already deleted and reinstalled the app. and still get the problem.

Best Answer
I have had a lot of problems with the app earlier in the year quite similar
to other users and I'm having to force stop it every week in order for it
to sync properly.
This is probably my 4th time since the summer that I've had to uninstall
everything and start from scratch on my fitbit charge 6. I never had any
issues with my charge 2.
I think my next fitness watch will be a different brand unfortunately, I
can't keep putting up with this and this one is only about 18 months old.
Thanks
Alan

Ya, you read that correctly.

2 different days, a week apart i did a run. Used the coach option in the app (on phone) and sent to watch.

After the run, the rest of the day would not show cal burn on the food page. Just for that day.

2 hours of chat support:

For stop app, clear cache, uninstall app, check for Android updates, check, watch for updates. nothing

In fact it erased all the previous data for the day regarding calorie burn. But ONLY on the food page. The today page still shows accurate. The watch shows accurate. Going into the calorie burn section is accurate. Just not on the food tracking page where it shows your calorie budgets.

The chat support and I came to the conclusion that it must just be a sync error with the server and it should correct itself within a day or two. One week later it still wasn't working, and I did another coach guided run. Same thing happened again.

This time I was on chat support for 3 hours. They made me do all the same stupid things again. For stop, clear cache, logout login, uninstall reinstall, yada

They sent it up the chain of command to higher level tech support. I received an email yesterday, saying they still don't know what's going on.

And I start a workout on the watch, I do not have this issue.

I doubt this is a high-level priority since a new version of the app is coming out this month. So I figured I would just warn anyone else who may have just gotten a new pixel watch 4 to avoid doing any coach guided workouts that are launched from the phone sent to the watch.

This is the only time that it messes up the food page

Same problem I've had for the past couple of weeks. I tried all the fixes, and the only one that works is uninstalling and reinstalling the app. Then it works fine, till the next day where it shows no calories burned again.

If this doesn't resolve, I'm going to have no choice but to move to another tracker/watch after over a decade using fitbit. (And it won't be a Google product!)

Why is the app not syncing the calories data between the home page and the food section? I've read comments from a year ago and the latest was in September with that update but I've updated to the October 2025 update and the issue still persists. Any help?

This is happening to me as well. The Calories burned and Calories out on the food page aren't syncing...

Calories out has stopped working yet again in the app. It stopped on 27th October 25 and hasn't started yet. Been through everything just like before, how on earth is this still happening. Everything is fine with charge 6, its just this AGAIN!!!!!
