Can I have my Fitbit Ionic and Fitbit Inspire HR in one account?

I just recently got the Ionic but when I synced it to my account it replaced my Inspire HR rather than just adding the ionic. I use both trackers for different things and before I added the ionic I had been using and Alta HR with my Inspire HR but now the app will only let me replace a tracker l, it won't let me add a second one so I can switch between them. Is it still possible to have two trackers on my account or did this suddenly change?

Fitbit does still support having multiple trackers connected to an account but there are some restrictions and you have hit one of them. They say:

"Note that you can't connect multiple devices that use the Fitbit App Gallery to one account. For Fitbit Charge 3, Fitbit Charge 4, Fitbit Ionic, Fitbit Inspire series, Fitbit Sense, and Fitbit Versa series, only connect one of these devices to your account at a time."

As this restriction impacts all the newer models it makes the feature increasingly redundant.
