Can I use the Fitbit App on 2 different devices?

I have my Inspire 3 all set up with my mobile phone (Pixel 7), however, my screen is quite small for  viewing the workouts and it won't cast to my TV or tablet (trust me I've tried a hundred ways to get it to work on either with zero success).  Finally I thought maybe to download the Fitbit app onto another (older) tablet that we had recently factory reset.  Problem is the app will not log me in and/or accept my password even though I know the credentials are correct.  Does anyone know if this issue is because Fitbit just won't allow you to run the app under the same account on more than one device?

@xraychick181 I have the Fitbit app on my phone and tablet for exactly the reason you describe. I find it too difficult to follow workouts on the tiny screen of my phone.

I have no problem using the app on my tablet, but I'm wondering how old your tablet is. You see the Fitbit app requires Android OS 9 or higher. (I'm that guessing you have an Android tablet, since you use a Pixel Phone. Let me know if I'm wrong.) Do you happen to know the OS of your tablet?

You're exactly right, that is what I'm trying to do.  It is an Android Tablet and I just checked, sure enough it's running Android 8.1.0

I'll see if it's possible to update the software, last time I tried to manually check for updates it told me everything was up to date.  Thanks alexthecat!

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @xraychick181. Thank you for sharing your Fitbit App syncing query.

The Fitbit app is compatible with most popular phones and tablets. To set up and use your Fitbit products and services, you must install the Fitbit app on a compatible device running one of the following operating systems:

  • Android 10 or higher
  • See additional tips for Android phones and tablets.

I hope that you're able to update to this version.

Thank you for your help @alexthecat.
