Can't add friends on the Fitbit app

When I'm trying to add friends, it just says error and when my friend tries to add me, I don't get the invite ?

@ksiu Welcome to the forums. Please excuse the delayed response. 

Thanks for reaching out about adding friends on the Fitbit app and the explanation. What does this error message say? Have you also tried this over the website? (How do I add Fitbit friends?) Please make sure that your account has been verified. If you recently created the account, go to your email address and look for the verification email.
