Something important to mention here, is that you need to allow the access of your Fitbit app to your contacts. Also your phone contacts has to include also the email address. If your contact doesn't not have saved along the email address registered whit their Fitbit accounts. Most likely, it will not show in your in-app contact list if doesn't have an email stored.
