Can't edit calories burned

I'm very frustrated with the charge 5. I can't change calories burned to what the exercise machine shows for the resistance I have set it at. I was able to on my old fitbit.

First thoughts I have @Presser58

  • Can you put your age, weight, and gender into your exercise machine?
  • Does the exercise machine read your heart rate, or monito your O2 consumption?
  • Does both the exercise machine and fitbit get a consistent HR reading?
  • Some companies add "feel good" calories.
  • Do you know which one has the correct calorie count?
  • We have never had the option to directly adjust calories burnt
  • We can manually add an exercise event.

Sorry I really can't be of any help.

Fitbit uses math, movement, age, gender, HR(both current and factors in resting) and HR to come up with a calorie estimate.

I don't know what the exercise, what type of machine, or the math that they use.

Thanks for the response. My fitbit charge 2 let you adjust the calories for
certain exercises. When on an elliptical I set the resistance up more to
increase my heart rate. Therfore I burn more calories.
I have put in my personal stats in my fitbit. Im sure they are basing
calories burn as an average for someone my size and age. It's just a matter
of trying to be more accurate for me.
