Hi @LezleeJohnson  if your phone isn't at least Android 8, you won't be able to download the app from the Google Play Store.

@LezleeJohnson  if your phone isn't running the minimum of Android 8 operating system, you can't get the Fitbit app and use it. There is no workaround for this. Do you have a newer phone or a friend who will let you set up and sync to their phone?

Hi @LezleeJohnson   - you can see the announcement here App versions 3.4.1 and below were removed from the Google Play store  and which phones will work Fitbit-compatible devices.

It is regrettable that it was removed because users are instructed to remove the Fitbit App for fixing some issues, then they can't reinstall it.

I have owned 6 Fitbit charged HR's over the years and always simply synced up to them with fitbit connect on my PC (window 7 still by choice). I bought a brand new Charge 3 today and I cannont sync it on my PC with fitbit connect, the option is not there. I then found out that my samsung S6 phone will not let me put the app on it because my phone that works perfect for me by the way it "outdated". So I cannot hook up my "new" charge 3.

I guess I can beg someone with newer phone to let me sync it and delete the app on thier phone and then I can see my results I have been tracking for the last 6 years continuously on my pc. Or maybe I will just take a hammer to the fitbit 3 and move on to another brand.

I would be willing to bet fitbit makes more money selling harvested personal info they obtain with now manditory phone (tracking) app.
