Can't finish setup of charge 3

I just recently got the charge 3 and I have been trying to set it up for two days. I did everything from restarting my galaxy s9+ to restarting the fitbit. It wont download the firmware, it will get to about 50 percent the an exclamation point will appear on the Fitbit and that's as far as it gets. I just wanna use my fitbit please help.

Let me help you figure out what is going on and try to get your Charge 3 to pair.

 

My recommendation would be to try to follow these steps:

  1. On the phone: after seeing the Not Working screen, select "Try Again"
  2. On Charge 3: open Settings > About > tap "Reboot Device"
  3. Wait for "Found your tracker" screen on phone 
  4. Enter the 4-digit code and complete the pairing sequence.
