I do not get the option to get texts or emails from my LG Nexus 5 on my Alta HR.  I found this list saying that my phone is now compatible.  https://www.androidauthority.com/fitbit-support-android-phones-331106/   I really want to get Hangout msgs to work on my fitbit alta HR

Welcome to the Forums @RobertaFahr.

 

I will be moving your thread to the Android board as I think it is better suited for it.

 

While the LG Nexus 5 does fulfill the minimum requirements, Android 4.4 and Bluetooth 4.0, and so there is a possibility that it can work, we are not able to fully guarantee that it will. I suspect that is what the link you shared is referring to because our list of supported devices doesn't include that device. 

 

Some users of unsupported devices have mentioned that following these steps helps with the notifications. Maybe you could give them a try.
