Can't get update, not syncing

My Ionic will not update, it just tells me to update my app to continue.Not sure what to do with that!  Also not syncing today. Samsung galaxy 8.

I haven't been able to sync my flex since 5/18/18 when the app last updated. Also on a Galaxy 8s. I've done all of the things suggested repeatedly to "fix" the problem. This same sync issue happened last year after an update,  too, before previous update where the glitch got fixed. It is beyond frustrating.
