Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @kenkjc.

Thanks for the details shared in your post. I appreciate your efforts and recommend trying the following:

  1. Log out of the app.
  2. Force quit the app and check if it is updated to the latest version by following these steps.
  3. Restart your phone.
  4. Log into the Fitbit app and try to log your sleep again.

For more information about tracking sleep, see How do I track my sleep with my Fitbit device? If the issue persists, please let me know the complete error message you get when you try to log sleep. I will be glad to investigate further.

By the way, I've moved your post to the Android App board so we can keep our forums organized.

Looking forward to hearing back from you.
