Hi, @CMC4572! Welcome, thanks for joining the family! Regarding your question, this is normal behavior on the Fitbit messages. At the moment you can only see your received messages.
However, I think it would be a good suggestion, you can go ahead and share your ideas on the Feature suggestions board.
