I am constantly getting prompts to "Turn on Device Notifications". I have them turned on for everything according to the Web Interface. However it stopped working back in December 2016 for notifications for phone calls via bluetooth.
I try and set up via Android App, and I can't get past "Turn on Device Notifications" indicator / prompt.
Big Pink Prompt.
"Fitbit needs access to your notifications so that your phone can send updates to your device"
Click on "Turn on Device Notifications". I check on Fitbit Notification Service, then Click back. But nothing changes. I keep getting prompted.
I can only configure this via the Android App. I can't do this via Web Interface.

You should try to unable the "All day Sync" and after that set up the call notifications following the instructions on this article: How do I receive call notifications on my Charge or Charge HR?
Keep me posted, I'll be around!

Hello there, I was having the same issues with my new Surge. Got no text or call notifications. Have tried all the suggestions so I conducted my own test. After getting everything setup and turned on, phone and Surge rebooted. The text came in yesterday.Whoopee. Right, this morning no text. Every night I put my phone in a airplane mode to conserve the battery so in the morning's I just turn off the mode. So today at the office I turned the Samsung Note 4 power off and back on and so far the text messages seem to be appearing and also the call notifications. This makes no sense to me but it worked today and tomorrow I will do the same thing........If it works, then I think it is a bug and needs to be addressed but by who FitBit or the phone firmware.
